February 10, 2008
Well I really do not know what to write this blog about so I am just going to tell you all what happened today. I woke up today at 7 a.m. and went to have breakfast at Mr. Taco with my cousin and then after that I came home, since then I have been doing nothing but playing RockBand and Guitar Hero II. I may say these games are pretty hard, especially if you do not know how to play the guitar or sing but instead of playing all day I should have been studying for two tests that I have this week, Geography and Math. Hopefully I know enough to get away with a high B but I know next time it probably will not happen. I know this blog is short and to the point, but first work then play.

Super Bowl XLII
So as you know by now Super Bowl XLII features the New York Giants and the New England Patriots. Not being able to watch the game due to work, I really would like for the New York Giants to win Super Bowl XLII. Well as you all know by now the New York Giants are your 2008 NFL Champions, beating the New England Patriots 17-14. After coming home from work I tuned into SportsCenter to catch highlights of the game. Surprised by the low scoring game from these two offense power houses I figured the New England Patriots would of pulled it off due to their tough defense and Super Bowl experience but anything can happen. Now how many of you really thought that New England Patriots would win Super Bowl XLII? Congratulations New York Giants on becoming the 2008 NFL Champions!!! Any predictions for Super Bowl XLIII?
Africa Tribes Collide: Nairobi, Kenya
While in my room looking over Geography notes for an upcoming test, I decided to write a blog about an event that has been taking place in Nairobi, Kenya and still to this day it has taken many lifes. In case you are not up to date with what is happening across the world, you might find this piece of information quite interesting. If you are in Professor Doc's Geography class you know what I am talking about.
Since December 27th, these two faces of Kenya have been on a collision course since Kenya's elections. The Kikuyu and the Luo tribe. With President Mwai Kibaki, a Kikuyu, elected to serve another five-year term, opposition leader Raila Odinga accused Kibaki of rigging the election. Since then there has been over 800 deaths and counting due to the Kikuyu tribe that has power and will not share it with the Luo tribe. Many Luo people like Cliff Owino, live in tin shacks that lean over a river of sewage and almost every morning has a corpse with machete wounds wash up near the alley. The main purpose for these actions is because of President Mwai Kibaki letting the gap between rich and poor widen substantially. Many Luo construction workers work day-in and day-out occasionally making $6 a day. So do you think there will ever be peace between these two tribes, or the world?
